To conclude my project, I have discovered through searching and learning various information about both movies that they don't have that much differences. The 1996 version had a lot more changes, minor though, but it was also because they made it in a modern setting. The 1968 was very close to the book other than minor changes and take outs. But both, I noticed, have the same major similarity They did not have the Romeo and Paris fight, where Romeo goes to see his love for a final time and he kills Paris. Both have fantastic actors. I personally feel that the 1996 version has better actors because they have more dramatized feelings rather than the 1968 version. The 1996 version also helped me understand more because it was more modern. I think the time periods had a major effect on the audience's comprehension of the story line itself. Through doing this project, I have learned that both are great movies and portray the historic literary work of the legendary William Shakespeare.
